I am Julie Throup, Speech and Language Therapist.
I qualified in Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) in 2002 with an honours degree. I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, a member of ASLTIP (Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice) and am registered with HCPC (Health Care Professionals Council).
I believe passionately that prioritising the development of your child's communication development will benefit them emotionally, socially and at school. I am happy to work with you and your child in different settings such as home and school or nursery.
After working for the NHS and then the Together Trust at a school for children with Autistic Spectrum conditions, I now work privately with families in and around Greater Manchester.
I particularly enjoy early years work, making the therapy as fun and active as possible.
I have seen some excellent results working with the PACT programme for young children with an Autistic Spectrum Condition.
DidsburySALT has been helping children since 2008.
Thank you for visiting and I look forward to working with you and your child.
